Decoria Essence is a filler developed by the manufacturer Bohus Bio Tech for filling fine lines and superficial wrinkles on the face.  In addition, the gel made of cross-linked hyaluronic acid is suitable for building voluminous and natural lips. The filler is intended for intradermal injection on the face, but must not be injected into the bloodstream. The solution consists of 20 mg/ml of cross-linked hyaluronic acid as well as a sodium chloride solution and a physiological buffer. This combination provides long-term hydration and tightening of the tissues, visibly smoothing out light wrinkles and fine lines. Thus, they provide a fresher appearance.

How Decoria Essence works

The solution is ideal for filling in superficial wrinkles, fine lines and the lips. This makes the gel particularly suitable for light wrinkles or as a refresh after a previous hyaluronic acid treatment. The high molecular density of hyaluronic acid gently fills in slight imperfections. The skin and the underlying tissue are therefore supplied with long-term moisture.

In order for the gel to work at its best, following application is recommended:
1.   Clean your patient's face, remove any makeup and disinfect the planned treatment area.
2. Place the needle under the furrow or wrinkle and inject the gel intradermally. Be careful not to inject the solution into the bloodstream.
3. Inject the gel slowly into the dermis, pulling the needle back slowly. Stop the injection a few millimeters before the point of entry into the skin to prevent the gel from leaking.
4. Massage the area after the injection to distribute the solution optimally in the tissue.

Into which skin layer may Decoria Essence be injected and in what quantity?
The solution is injected intradermally. A maximum of 2 ml is allowed per treatment point.

What side effects can Decoria Essence have and who should refrain from treatment?
There are no serious side effects known. However, there may be redness, swelling and mild pain at the injection site, which will subside on its own.

Who should not be treated with Decoria Essence
Pregnant women, breastfeeding women, children, patients with coagulation disorders and patients with chronic skin diseases and inflammations. Those taking thrombolytics and anticoagulants should also not undergo treatment. 

What precautions are recommended after the treatments?
Patients should avoid solarium and direct sunlight for approximately one week after treatment. In addition, sports and exhausting movements should be avoided within the first two days. Makeup should be avoided for at least 12 hours after the treatment.
